Albanesi Ministry

The Lord transformed the lives of Marco & Simona radically! Their service in the Church of Rome progressed. Marco first served as deacon and treasurer and then as an elder; Simona was responsible for the children’s Sunday School. Also, in addition to their roles at Church, they worked part-time as administrator & secretary for the magazine ‘La Voce del Vangelo’ (along side Bill & Maria Teresa Standridge).

In 2002, the Lord called the Albanesi’s to an important change in their life;  for a long period of time, they served the Lord occasionally at the Istituto Biblico di Isola del Gran Sasso, where they held camps for young people and offered weeks of Bible study for families; but in that year, God convinced them that there was a service for them there full-time.

Marco worked as Assistant to the Director, and Simona as the cook for the center (where they usually fed—both spiritually and physically—more than 100 people at a time). The Lord used this period of four years at the camp to develop their gifts.

In 2006, God pushed them toward another service.  In that year, they became missionaries with Aurora and since then have moved to Sicily. Today Marco is the Assistant Administrator of the Italian Theological Academy and also shares in the responsiblity for the teaching at the new church in Acireale, which is in the province of Catania. Simona (along with the help of her co-worker in Christ Viviana Fortuna) is the cook for the academy and she cares for a group of women at their church as well.

Marco & Simona have three children that, although are far away from them (they remained in Rome) are growing in the Lord with a great desire to serve Him, which brings great joy to Marco and Simona!

They give all the glory and thanksgiving to the Lord Jesus for their strength and ability to minister and serve Him, while being such a tremendous help to so many others!
